Christian County Utilizes Data to Pass Levy and Build New Library

Last August, Christian County voters approved the renewal of the library's 20 cent tax levy, with 68 percent voting in favor. The increased revenue, which went into effect at the beginning of 2018, will nearly double the library’s annual budget. More importantly, the levy allows the library to establish three new facilities, renovate and expand another and increase library staff and services at its current branches.

Despite passing the levy with such a high approval rating, library Executive Director Geri Godber and Assistant Director Katy Pattison admit that the library has not always been so appreciated!  That is why in 2017, Godber and Pattison engaged the services of OrangeBoy and the Savannah software to gather data, create a strategic pathway and develop targeted messaging.

Join Katy on February 21 at 2 PM ET as she discusses how they used data and engaged the community to a create a successful campaign that can be replicated by your library.
